The Steamtown National Historic Site recreates life as it was during the era of steam in America. Visitors have a bevy of attractions to choose from, including rides on a vintage steam engine, tours of the Locomotive Shop with its antique machine parts and ongoing restoration projects, and informative walks through the Museums of Technology and History. The Site resides in the heart of the city, south of Cathedral Cemetery.
