Inside the 1912 Caitlin House, the historical artifacts and collections of the Lackawanna Historical Society are on display, offering a look into local life during the 19th and 20th centuries. See specially constructed exhibits on topics like "The Tools That Built Scranton" and "Capes and Coats," displaying the 19th century tools and fashion of the country, respectively. Guided tours offer the fullest educational experience, with detailed information on the home, the county and historic events that are all but forgotten today. Contained within the grounds of the University of Scranton, the history museum is close to the Scranton Iron Furnaces.
