Scranton was the first city in the state to have a working pioneer trolley line, earning it the name Electric City. The Electric City Trolley Museum honors that title with a collection of vintage trolleys and other exhibits chronicling the area's rich electric railway history. Visitors can also sign up for one of the museum's Trolley Excursions, on which they will head out on a fun-filled trolley adventure to such destinations as the nearby PNC baseball field to take in a game. The museum lies in the downtown area, on the northwest corner of the Steamtown National Historic Site.
